Early-stage investigators and established investigators who wish to incorporate cancer-focused research into their quantitative science or engineering projects or reorient their quantitative science or engineering research interests to cancer-focused research and who have not already obtained research project (i.e., R01 or equivalent) grant support for biological or biomedical projects, are eligible for this award. Individuals with less than three years of post-doctorate degree training experience in quantitative sciences or engineering should consider the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) Individual Postdoctoral Fellowship (F32) (https://www.cancer.gov/grants-training/training/funding/f32) instead.
