The National Institutes of Health (NIH) invite you to be a part of the 2009 Regional Seminar on Program Funding and Grants Administration to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada at the J.W. Marriott Resort and Spa - Thursday & Friday, June 25 & 26.  Optional eRA Computer Workshops are available prior to the seminar on Wednesday, June 24 for an additional fee. The NIH Regional Seminars are intended to help demystify the application and review process, clarify federal regulations and policies, and highlight current areas of special interest or concern. The seminar serves the NIH mission of providing education and training for the next generation of biomedical and behavioral scientists.  NIH policy officials, grants management and program staff, as well as representatives from the Office for Human Research Protections and the Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare, will interact with seminar participants and provide a broad array of expertise.  The seminars are appropriate for grants administrators, new researchers, and graduate students.

Exciting opportunities await those who join us in 2009 – more interactive sessions, panel discussions, and opportunities to meet with your peers from around the world.  The NIH holds two Regional Seminars each year around the country so begin making your plans now and when registration and hotel information become available, prepare to book early – space is limited. Registration fees for the two-day seminar will be approximately $400-475 per person (depending on early or late registration). Optional eRA computer workshops will cost approximately $150 for either a morning or afternoon session.
