Administrative Supplements
- ORWH co-funds administrative supplements in partnership with the administering Institute or Center (IC) and strongly encourages interested applicants to contact their current Program Officer, as listed on the most recent Notice of Award, to discuss whether a supplement request is appropriate.
- For mentored research training and mentored career development awards, ORWH prioritizes co-funding for applications that justify sustaining or restoring research productivity, supporting successful return to full productivity, and facilitating continued career development, with evidence of institutional commitment, mentoring, and available resources.
Conferences and Meetings
The Office of Research on Women's Health (ORWH) supports meetings that advance interdisciplinary research to improve women’s health across the lifespan, strengthen rigor through integration of sex as a biological variable (SABV), address disparities in women’s health outcomes, accelerate prevention, diagnosis, and treatment strategies to improve women’s health, promote development of Common Data Elements, and foster workforce development and cross-IC collaboration.
The Office of Autoimmune Disease Research in the Office of Research on Women’s Health (OADR-ORWH) is interested in applications seeking funding for the support of scientific conferences and workshops that will bring together subject matter experts in autoimmune disease research with the goal of developing and refining Common Data Elements (CDEs) for autoimmune disease research. The use of CDEs supports the NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy by facilitating harmonization and interoperability of data from different studies.
