Mission
Provides ongoing analysis of the biomedical research workforce and evaluation of NIH policies to enable NIH to sustain and grow the biomedical research workforce at all levels to assure the most productive biomedical research endeavor and most effective use of taxpayer dollars. Provides leadership and expertise on program and policy aspects of research training and research career development. Division of Loan Repayment
Administers all aspects of the NIH Extramural Loan Repayment Programs (LRPs) for scientists conducting nonprofit research outside of NIH, and supports application and payment activities for NIH Intramural LRPs for NIH employee researchers.
