NIDCR Data Repository Requirements

NIH's Data Management and Sharing Policy applies to all NIH applicants and recipients. In addition to the agency-wide policy, has the following data repository requirements for data generated by their recipients.

Data Repository Requirements

NIDCR strongly encourages investigators to use FaceBase for publicly sharing scientific data that aligns with the data and the scope of FaceBase.  FaceBase is an NIH-supported data repository that publicly shares, via open or controlled access, scientific data. This data serves research in dental, oral, craniofacial, inner ear, and associated systemic conditions, spanning the full translational spectrum.  FaceBase accommodates the sharing of multidimensional data, including molecular, genetic, -omic, imaging, real-world data (RWD), and new data types produced using new methods and technologies, spotlighting data AI-readiness and offering data processing, visualization, and analysis tools, and implementing state-of-the-art computational techniques.  FaceBase continually works to support data interoperability to support biomedical research.
