New NIH Public Access Pages to Support the 2024 NIH Public Access Policy

The NIH Public Access Policy is in effect and manuscripts accepted for publication in a journal on or after July 1, 2025, must be submitted to PubMed Central for public availability without embargo upon the official date of publication. We have launched a series of new and revised Public Access Policy pages on the NIH Grants & Funding site to support the policy.

Among other things, the new pages provide an overview of the 2024 Public Access Policy, guidance for submitting publications to PubMed, new FAQs, and NIH contact information.
