Clinical Trials Interest Areas

  • NIDCR supports clinical trials:
    • Evaluating preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic, and regenerative interventions for dental, oral, and craniofacial (DOC) diseases and conditions.
    • Interventions of drugs, biologics, devices, procedures and behaviors. 
  • NIDCR has a particular interest in: 
    • Efficacy, effectiveness, comparative effectiveness, and safety trials designed to establish, evaluate, and improve the standard of care for dental, oral, and craniofacial (DOC) health, and to enhance the delivery of evidence-based DOC care.
    • Clinical trials that incorporate milestone-driven development, such as an initial planning stage followed by implementation upon successful completion of predefined milestones.
