Consolidate Your eRA Commons Accounts with New Feature

A new eRA Commons enhancement allows users to consolidate multiple accounts into a single Multi-Factor Authentication capable linked set of credentials to help streamline and reduce the burden of managing multiple accounts. Beginning on May 18, 2026, upon login to eRA Commons, all users will be presented with a window to request the consolidation of multiple accounts into a single account. 

Users with a single account may select the “Don’t Show Me This Again” button to dismiss the window.  

Users with multiple accounts are encouraged to consolidate their accounts as soon as possible by selecting the “Submit A Request To Consolidate” button to initiate the account consolidation process. After consolidation, users are presented with a screen to define the organization and the role type for which they are acting, including selection of an optional default setting.
