New Video Overview for NIH’s Collaborative International Research Projects (PF5)

NIH developed a short, 6-minute video overview of the new NIH Collaborative International Research Project (PF5) award structure. It explains key features, application format, and how applications may be disaggregated into linked awards after review and prior to just-in-time requests. this video complements our other resource describing what belongs in each required and optional component of the parent PF5 application, to ensure your submission is complete, responsive, and clearly structured.

Last year, NIH announced a New Application Structure for NIH-Funded International Collaborations and requirement to submit applications with foreign collaborations to PF5 funding opportunities that support the new award structure.  Our Parent PF5 funding opportunity is open for submission with an initial due date of May 25, 2026.

We encourage researchers watch this video as the first due date for applications is right around the corner.
