This recording from the 2021 NIH Virtual Seminar will help you avoid running afoul of the most common regulatory mistakes that can interrupt your project. Spend a few minutes with us, listening to true-life examples of problems using animals and how to correct, or better yet, avoid them. The majority of this session uses scenarios to problem-solve and answer common compliance questions.

Audience:

The program is tailored to IACUC staff, IACUC members, IOs, veterinarians, investigators, compliance personnel, animal care staff, and others involved in animal programs.

Brent Morse
<p>Brent C. Morse was the Director of the Division of Compliance Oversight within the Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare (OLAW) at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda Maryland. He is a 1987 graduate of Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and completed his residency in laboratory animal medicine with the US Army. His previous positions included Acting Chief of the Veterinary Medicine Branch of the Division of Veterinary Resources at NIH while a Commissioned Officer with the U.S. Public Health Service and several management positions as a Veterinary Corps Officer with the U.S. Army. Morse was part of OLAW for nineteen years and served as the Director of the Division of Compliance Oversight since 2019 until April 2025.&nbsp;</p>
