Description:
What happens at your institution and at the NIH between grant award and closeout? This session
will provide new research administrators a better understanding of NIH post-award activities from
the perspective of NIH Senior Grants Management Specialists. The emphasis will be on business
practices.
This event took place during the 2023 NIH Virtual Grants Conference
Objective:
Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:
• describe the basic process of what happens to an application during a Peer Review Study Section Meeting; and
• explain the roles of the Scientific Review Officer, program official and reviewers during the meeting.
