RFA-OH-20-002 - Commercial Fishing Occupational Safety Research Cooperative Agreement (U01)
NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH (NIOSH)
The purpose of this Notice is to inform interested applicants of a new receipt date associated with RFA-OH-20-002 Commercial Fishing Occupational Safety Research Cooperative Agreement (U01) . The new receipt date is August 27, 2021. Funding of successful applications will occur in fiscal year 2022.
This Notice also informs interested applicants of a new cost match requirement. Statute 46 U.S.C. 4502 (j) Safety Standards under the Coast Guard Authorization Act, increases the maximum Federal Share of the Fishing Safety Research Grant Program from 50% to 75%.
Effective with the publication of this Notice, cost matching (25% of the total proposed cost) is required. The source and amount of costs and/or the value of third-party in-kind contributions proposed by the applicant to meet the cost matching requirement must be identified in the application budget.
The maximum total award including the 25% cost match is $975,000 per a 36-month budget period. The Notice of Award will state the amount of Federal funding and the amount of the 25% cost match. As an example, a total award of $975,000 will consist of $731,250 in Federal funds and $243,750 as non-Federal cost matching.
Upon publication of this Notice, this change will be in effect for the next application receipt date of August 27, 2021.
