Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to inform interested applicants of a change in the award budget ceiling associated with RFA-OH-20-002 “Commercial Fishing Occupational Safety Research Cooperative Agreement (U01)”. The current award ceiling is $650,000 per budget period. The new award ceiling is $975,000 per budget period. The award floor will remain the same at $150,000 per budget period.

Effective with the publication of this notice, the maximum total funding (direct and indirect costs) that can be requested for a single award consisting of a 36-month budget period is $975,000. Total funding for the entire three-year period of performance is the same. Cost matching (50% of total proposed cost) is required. The source and amount of costs and/or the value of third-party in-kind contributions proposed by the applicant to meet the cost matching requirement must be identified in the application budget.

The maximum total award including the 50% cost match is $975,000 per budget period. The Notice of Award will state the amount of Federal funding and the amount of the 50% cost match. As an example, a total award of $975,000 will consist of $487,500 in Federal funds and $487,500 as non-Federal cost matching.

Upon publication of this notice, this change will be in effect for the next application receipt date of January 21, 2021.
