Applications will be prioritized based on the impact of the critical life event on the funded
project and the potential for the supplement to allow for successful completion of the
originally proposed aims. Support from the institution will also be considered.

NIMH accepts and reviews administrative supplement

submission policies, when April 1 falls on a weekend, Federal holiday, or Washington, DC area
Federal office closure (see NOT-OD-17-041), the application deadline is automatically extended to
the next business day. Generally, administrative supplement applications received after the April 1
submission date will not be considered for funding until the next fiscal year. Earlier submission is

The
continuity administrative supplement application must be submitted no later than 12 months after

NIMH will require that supplement budget requests cannot exceed $50,000/year direct costs.
