NIDDK Specific Information:
NIDDK welcomes requests for support from NIDDK funded Research Project Grant (RPG) awardees who have experienced a life-qualifying event during the project period of their award.  For NIDDK:
• NIDDK accepts supplement applications on a continuous basis with reviews occurring three times a year: January 5th, May 5th, and September 5th.
• Requests cannot be made for RPG awards that are in or will be in a no-cost extension for any part of the supplemental award period.
• Requests can be made for life-qualifying events that have taken or will take place at any time during the project period as long as sufficient justification is provided that the event slowed or is likely to slow progress.  
• PD/PIs of the following activity codes are eligible for the program: DP1, DP2, R01, R00, R15, R21, and U01 and who have a qualifying critical life event. PD/PIs with more than one independent research project grant award are ineligible for this supplement.
