The “Category Summary” provides a high-level overview of the parameters used to determine what research is included in each reporting category. Details in the summary may include the category’s business rules and previous names.
The “Categories Included” column displays related categories that have a high degree of overlap and are automatically included within the broader reporting category. Some examples include: the entire Liver Cancer category is included within the Cancer category, Heart Disease is included in Cardiovascular, and Prescription Drug Misuse is included within Substance Misuse.
The "Year Published" documents the first fiscal year for which data is publicly available for the category.
