Academic/Teacher Award (ATA) (K07)
To create and encourage a stimulating approach to disease curricula that will attract high quality students, foster academic career development of promising young teacher-investigators, develop and implement excellent multidisciplinary curricula through interchange of ideas and enable the recipient institution to strengthen its existing teaching program.
Purpose
The purpose of this program is to provide support for academic researchers and to enhance the educational or research capacity at the sponsoring institution. The K07 supports both development awards for more junior candidates, and leadership awards for more senior individuals with acknowledged scientific expertise and leadership skills.
