Purpose

NIH recently issued Guide Notice NOT-OD-15-065 informing grantees of the interim general conditions of NIH grant awards aligned with HHS regulations implementing OMB’s Uniform Guidance at 45 CFR Part 75. Although the 45 CFR Part 75 related updates are the focus of the NIH Interim Grant General Conditions document, current policy is also included to provide recipients with further context to those changes (e.g., cost considerations, NIH standard terms of award, special award conditions, and grants appeal procedures).

Event:
Eye on NIH Policy: OMB Uniform Guidance - What It Means for NIH & You is an opportunity to watch a pre-recorded Presentation Video at your convenience and then participate in an Interactive Q&A on Thursday, March 12 which focuses on these changes.

We encourage viewing the pre-recorded Presentation Video prior to the Interactive Q&A session and submitting any questions in advance. Although submitting questions in advance is encouraged, participants will have the opportunity to submit questions during the interactive session.

Presentation Video: "NIH Implementation of Uniform Guidance"
The Presentation Video provides viewers with information on recent and upcoming changes to NIH policy as a result of the publication of HHS' regulations implementing OMB's Uniform Guidance, and how it affects the grants requirements.

Interactive Q&A:
The Interactive Q&A provides an opportunity for the grantee community to get their questions answered by NIH policy officials.
