Purpose

The National Institute of Nursing Research, along with the National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institute on Aging (NIA), National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS), Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), National Institute on Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR), National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), and National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), informs the community that the following PA and its companions will be reissued:

  • PA-10-007 Mechanisms, Models, Measurement, & Management in Pain Research (R21)

This Notice is being provided to allow potential applicants sufficient time to develop meaningful collaborations and appropriate projects.

The FOA will be published in Spring 2013.

The FOA will continue to utilize the R21 NIH Exploratory/Developmental Research Grant mechanism.

Research Initiative Details

This Notice encourages investigators with expertise and insights into this area of Mechanisms, Models, Measurement, & Management in Pain to consider applying for this FOA.
