The National Institute of Nursing Research, along with the National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institute on Aging (NIA), National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS), Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), National Institute on Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS), National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), and the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM), informs the community that the following FOA and its companions will be reissued:

This Notice is being provided to allow potential applicants sufficient time to develop meaningful collaborations and appropriate projects.

The FOA will be published in Spring 2013.

The FOA will continue to utilize the R01 Research Project Grant mechanism.

This Notice encourages investigators with expertise and insights into this area of Mechanisms, Models, Measurement, & Management in Pain to consider applying for this FOA.
