Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to further clarify the intent of the supplement opportunity described in NOT-MH-12-001.  The purpose of this program is to foster collaborative research and capacity-building between current NIH grantees and Russian researchers working on HIV/AIDS as demonstrated by parallel and coordinated submission of a supplement request to the NIH and an application to the Russian call for applications http://www.rfbr.ru/rffi/ru/contest/n_520/o_39749. NIH investigators are strongly encouraged to include a copy of the budget of the Russian submission to demonstrate the proposed partnership and the collaborative nature of the proposed work.
