Issued by
National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) (http://www.genome.gov)

The purpose of this Notice is to alert the research community that the R03 program announcement (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PA-04-051.html) and the R21 program announcement (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PA-97-045.html) published by the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) are no longer active. All R03 and R21 applications must now be submitted electronically (i.e., paper-based PHS 398 applications will NOT be accepted). For additional information, please see the NIH Notice regarding this: https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-06-068.html. This Notice is effective for applications intended for the June 1 deadline.

If you have been planning to submit an application to the National Human Genome Research Institute using one of the above cited program announcements, you should now respond to one of the most appropriate program announcements below. Please note that the R03 mechanism may only be used for applications to the Ethical, Legal, Social Issues (ELSI) Program.
