Purpose

This revised Notice replaces NOT-HD-17-006 to correct the standard due date for resubmission applications to be Monday, July 17, 2017.

Effective September 8, 2017, the NICHD will no longer participate in the NIH Exploratory Developmental Research Grant Program (Parent R21) and will not accept any applications (new or resubmission) in response to the Parent R21 Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) PA-16-161. The last application due dates that NICHD will accept an application under the Parent R21 FOA will be June 16, 2017 for non-AIDS new applications, July 17, 2017 for non-AIDS resubmission applications, and September 7, 2017 for AIDS and AIDS-related applications.

NICHD will continue to accept R21 applications for projects in high-priority areas under separate NICHD Program Announcements.
