This Notice is to announce the withdrawal of the Program Announcement PA-06-064 (Basic and Preclinical Research on Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) (R15)) ( http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PA-06-064.html ) released on November 9, 2005 .

NCCAM has signed onto the NIH Academic Research Enhancement Award (R15) program as published in the program announcement PA-06-042 (Academic Research Enhancement Award (R15)) released on October 25, 2005 . The NCCAM PA-06-064 is not only a duplicate of this NIH wide PA but has also created unnecessary confusion for interested applicants. In order to avoid any confusion between the two program announcements, NCCAM is withdrawing PA-06-064, effective immediately. Applicants interested in submitting Academic Research Enhancement Award (R15) applications to NCCAM should respond to the NIH PA-06-042. Please note that PA-06-042 applies to all R15 applications beginning with the submission date of February 25, 2006 and thereafter as clarified in the NIH NOTICE NOT-OD-06-019 ( http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-06-019.html ).
