Planning a submission to the Limited Competition: NIGMS National and Regional Resources (R24 Clinical Trial Not Allowed) Funding Opportunity Announcement
Monday, August 5, 1:00-2:00 p.m. Eastern Time
The NIGMS National and Regional Resources announcement is unique to NIGMS. The resources must have been developed with previous NIGMS support and must have had an active NIGMS grant award within two years prior to the application receipt date. The resources must support research that is within the NIGMS mission, although researchers supported by other components of the NIH that utilize similar resources should be eligible to utilize the resource. Proposed resources must already be established or may be established by consolidation of previously supported resources at multiple sites and ready to provide services to a substantial user base. Major new research and development efforts should not be required. The resource should be poised to achieve or already have received significant economies of scale. Resources may be proposed to serve either a national or a regional (but must be multi-state) user base. Resources should provide access to state-of-the-art facilities, equipment, technologies, research tools, software, and/or service to a substantial number of users through a competitive application and selection process. Resources may request funding for upgrades to maintain the facility at the state of the art, operating expenses, outreach, and user training and support. Stand-alone data resources and databases are not eligible for funding through this FOA.
During this webinar, the institute director and other NIGMS staff will discuss the NIGMS National and Regional Resources program and answer questions from potential applicants.
