The Scientists Center for Animal Welfare (SCAW) will present the 2014 Winter Conference, “Doing More With Less: Running a Fit Animal Research Program,” on December 8-9, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas. The two-day conference is for IACUC members and administrators, principal investigators, attending veterinarians, regulatory personnel and laboratory animal care staff. The program will provide key findings and advances in research animal welfare and explore policy and management issues related to IACUCs.
OLAW is pleased to announce that Ms. Nicole L. Zimmerman joined the Division of Policy and Education as a Laboratory Animal Welfare Analyst in September 2014. Ms. Zimmerman's appointment was achieved through the NIH Pathways Program, a mechanism that enables NIH divisions to retain high performance student interns in career appointments.
