ICARE Academy: Introduction to IACUC Function (IA Intro)

Audience
Participation is open to those involved in U.S. animal care and use programs, including Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) members and staff, Institutional Officials, veterinarians, animal facilities personnel, administrators, consultants, and compliance and regulatory personnel. IA Intro is appropriate for personnel who are new to the program, newly promoted, or those who seek a review of the federal animal welfare oversight standards.
Purpose
The Interagency Collaborative Animal Research Education (ICARE) Project provides training for U.S. IACUC members and animal program personnel. IA Intro (Introduction to IACUC Function) is a comprehensive 3-day workshop that introduces participants to the regulations and guidelines of the U.S. federal agencies that oversee animal welfare at research institutions.
