OLAW Webinar on September 21 – Rights, Regulatory Systems and Legal Revolution

Join OLAW for a webinar “Rights, Regulatory Systems and Legal Revolution” on September 21, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm ET. In this webinar, Margaret Riley, JD, Professor, University of Virginia School of Law, will talk about different notions of rights, especially in the context of animal rights and show how much of the discussion in this area involves people talking past each other. She’ll then explore how these notions of rights carry over into legal regulation and law with different results. She will also discuss the Non-Human Rights Project and why it would represent a dramatic departure from current legal norms.
