HHS ACTION TRANSMITTAL ON USE OF ELECTRONICALLY IMAGED RECORD STORAGE

The Office of Grants and Acquisition Management (OGAM), Department of 
Health and Human Services (HHS), recently released an Action 
Transmittal (AT), OGAM AT 99-1, concerning the use of electronically 
imaged record storage.  This AT establishes authorization for grantee 
organizations receiving the majority of federal funding from HHS to 
determine which method of records retention, paper or electronic, they 
will use.  The AT can be accessed from the HHS website at
