PURPOSE

The Modular Grant Application and Award procedures were published in the NIH
Guide, December 18, 1998, at
https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/not98-178.html.  Effective with the
June 1, 1999 receipt date, applications in response to PA-98-004, which was
published in the NIH Guide, Vol 26, No. October 24, 1997, must be submitted under
these procedures.  To assist the investigator with the $25,000 increment
requirement of the modular grant application process, the direct costs per year
limit for National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) will be increased to $100,000
from the current $90,000.  All other aspects of the PA remain the same.
