NIDCD PROGRAM FOR POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH TRAINING IN CLINICAL TRIALS Release Date: February 20, 1998 PA NUMBER: PA-96-024 P.T. National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders The purpose of this Notice is to announce a change in the eligibility requirements for traineeship appointees under PA-96-024, NIDCD Program for Postdoctoral Research Training in Clinical Trials, which was published in the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts, Vol. 25, No. 3, February 9, 1996. This Program Announcement invites applications for the support of Institutional National Research Service Award programs of postdoctoral research training in the design and conduct of clinical trials for individuals trained in the clinical disciplines of human communication. The trainees appointed under this program must hold a clinical doctoral degree (e.g., M.D., D.D.S., Ph.D. in a clinical discipline, or comparable doctoral degree) from an accredited domestic or foreign institution and be engaged in or have completed postgraduate clinical training with specialty emphasis in one or more areas of human communication. Effective with this Notice, it is no longer required that trainees have already completed their postgraduate clinical training at the time of appointment.
