ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH SCIENCES PROGRAM PROJECT GRANT APPLICATIONS NIH GUIDE, Volume 26, Number 40, December 19, 1997 P.T. National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences Site Visit of Program Project Grant (P01) Applications This notice is to remind and notify potential applicants that the receipt dates for Program Project Grant Applications (P01) are June 1 and October 1 of each year. Beginning with the June 1 receipt date, NIEHS is planning to conduct site visits for all P01 applications. However, after the first round of site visits only new (type 1) and possibly competing continuations (type 2) will be site visited. Amended applications which have been previously site visited will probably not be site visited a second time. The Program Project Grant is an assistance award for the support of a broadly based multidisciplinary research program that has a well-defined central research focus or objective. It may also include support for common supporting resources (cores) required for the conduct of the component research projects. Interrelationships between component projects are expected to result in a greater contribution to the program goals than if each project were pursued separately. Detailed guidelines for Program Project Applications are available at http://www.niehs.nih.gov/dert/programs/p0l.htm. INQUIRIES Dr. Ethel B.
