The February 15, 1995 Addendum to the PHS Grants Policy Statement

omitted text from the bottom of the right-hand column of page A9-3 of

Appendix 9, Standard Patent Rights Clause.  The omitted text reads as

follows:



(j)(1)...achieve practical application of the subject invention in

such field use;



(2) Such action is necessary to alleviate health or safety needs

which are not reasonable satisfied by the grantee institution,

assignee or their licensees;
