ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS For the purposes of this announcement, underrepresented minority investigators are individuals belonging to a particular racial or ethnic group that has been determined by the grantee institution to be underrepresented in biomedical or behavioral research. Nationally, individuals who have been found to be underrepresented in biomedical or behavioral research include, but are not limited to, Black Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, and Pacific Islanders. MECHANISMS OF SUPPORT Grant funds awarded under the CIA and the PSA mechanisms are for the development of research training only and may not be used for the support of clinical training or clinical services.
