The notice of availability of a Request for Applications (RFA) for to

invite program project grant applications (P01) from interested

investigators to establish interactive Gene Therapy Programs with the

goal of conducting gene therapy clinical trials for cancer treatment

was published in the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts, Vol. 21, No.

3, Part II of II, January 24, 1992.

 

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) will hold a briefing session

concerning this RFA on Friday, February 28, 1992 at the Holiday Inn

Crowne Plaza in Rockville, Maryland.  The briefing session will provide

information on the regulatory process for obtaining approval to conduct

gene therapy clinical trials .  The briefing will begin at 8:30 a.m.

and will adjourn by 4:00 p.m.  There will be ample time for questions

and answers.  A summary of the proceedings of this meeting including

questions and answers and copies of handouts, will be available upon

request to Diane Bronzert.

 

All interested parties are invited to attend.  Rooms for the night of

February 27 are available for a special rate of $89.00 plus tax.
