CEREBRAL MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING READING CENTER FOR THEATHEROSCLEROSIS RISK IN COMMUNITIES STUDY NIH GUIDE, Volume 21, Number 16, May 1, 1992 P.T. 34 Keywords: Medical/Diagnostic Imaging Cerebrovascular Disorders RFP AVAILABLE: RFP-NIH-NHLBI-HC-92-21 National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) requires a Reading Center to interpret cerebral magnetic resonance images (MRI) performed in the epidemiological research study of the major factors contributing to the occurrence of cardiovascular disease in middle-aged adults entitled "Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities Study (ARIC)." The MRI Reading Center will assist in protocol development for the performance of cerebral MRI on 2,000 participants at 2 of the ARIC Field Centers and will perform measurements and interpretations of these images in a standardized and reproducible manner. The period of performance is anticipated to be March 1, 1993 through February 28, 1995. This is an announcement for a Request for Proposals (RFP). RFP NHLBI-HC-92-21 will be available on or about April 14, 1992, with proposals due June 1, 1992. One award is anticipated to be made during December 1992.
