The Biological Testing Branch of the NCI's Division of Cancer Treatment & Diagnosis is seeking organizations with the facilities and capabilities to monitor the health status of animals in the NCI Animal Production Program's laboratory rodent colonies. To be considered, each respondent must have existing diagnostics facilities and must have all key personnel provide documentation of past and current experience in the successful performance of comprehensive serologic, bacteriologic, pathologic, and molecular diagnostics in laboratory rodents. Approximately 2,000 animals, annually, sent at a rate of 40 per week will be provided to the diagnostics contractor at no cost. It is estimated that approximately 20,000 serological tests will be performed annually. It is expected that one cost-reimbursement, completion-type contract with a term of 5 years will be awarded as a result of the solicitation. This contract is planned to be incrementally funded over the 5-year period. The proposed contract represents a recompetition of Contract N02-CM-17400 (that was awarded to the University of Missouri).
