Background
The John E. Fogarty International Center (FIC) intends to issue a new Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) to solicit applications for an International Research and Training Award program for Non-Communicable Diseases.
This notice is being provided to allow potential applicants sufficient time to develop meaningful collaborations and responsive proposals. This FOA is expected to be published in the Summer of 2010.
Purpose
The Fogarty International Center (FIC) announces its intention to reconfigure and consolidate three FIC international research training programs into an International Research Training Award Program for Non-Communicable Diseases and Disorders (NCD) (D43). The Millennium Promise Awards: Non-communicable Chronic Diseases Research Training Program (NCoD) (PAR-08-175) will be one of the programs that will be reconfigured and consolidated into the new NCD program.
