Changed Introduction Instructions

Because the “Introduction” attachment is used for resubmission applications only, use Item 11. Other Attachments of the “Research & Related Other Project Information” form to upload your one page description of the proposed collaboration.

Additional Budget Instructions

Under Section IV.5 “Funding Restrictions” please note that FIRCA grants will have the following budget restrictions:

• Consultant fees for the developing country Foreign PI, Foreign collaborator(s) and staff must not exceed a total of $5,000 annually.
• Salary for a U.S.-based Principal Investigator, or any other staff at the non-developing country site, is not allowed.
• Travel funds for the Principal Investigator, Collaborator, or colleagues to visit the U.S or foreign research sites must not exceed $7,000 annually.
• Additional travel funds for the Foreign Collaborator to attend scientific conferences must not exceed $2,000 annually.
