The Fogarty International Center (FIC) announces a limited competition for HIV/AIDS-related competing applications from the currently funded International Clinical, Operational and Health Services Research Training Award (ICOHRTA) grantees. The ICOHRTA programs in international clinical, operational and health services and prevention science support research training of low- to middle-income country scientists for the development and implementation of evidence-based interventions, for major global health problems related to non-communicable diseases and disorders in low- to middle-income countries. The original awards were made in September, 2001, under RFA-TW-01-003 and the competing awards are in response to RFA-TW-06-002.

The current grantees have successfully conducted the first four years of their ICOHRTA programs. While new HIV/AIDS-related applications are not eligible for RFA-TW-06-002, competing renewal HIV/AIDS-related applications will be considered. Applications should follow the same application procedures and format outlined in RFA-TW-06-002.
