Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to inform potential applicants that the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) and participating Institutes and Centers (ICs) will hold pre-application technical assistance live webinars regarding applications in response to NOFO PAR-24-206 Rare Diseases Clinical Research Consortia (RDCRC) for the Rare Diseases Clinical Research Network (RDCRN) (U54 Clinical Trial Optional). 

The objective of this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is to invite new and renewal applications for the Rare Diseases Clinical Research Consortia (RDCRC) that comprise the Rare Diseases Clinical Research Network (RDCRN). The RDCRCs are intended to advance and improve diagnosis, management, and treatment of numerous, diverse rare diseases through highly collaborative, multi-site, patient-centric, translational, and clinical research. Special emphasis will be placed on the early and timely identification of individuals with rare diseases and clinical trial readiness.

Two identical technical assistance webinars will be conducted.  Please plan on attending one of the sessions.  

Webinar 1: May 22, 2024 – 9:00 am to 10:30 am Eastern Time

Webinar 2: June 3, 2024 – 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm Eastern Time

During the technical assistance webinar, NIH staff will provide an overview of the funding opportunity and answer questions from prospective applicants.

  1. All prospective applicants are encouraged to submit questions via email at least one week in advance of the technical webinar.
  2. Questions may also be submitted during the technical webinar to this mailbox. While every effort will be made to prioritize and include all questions received during the webinar, it is possible that not all questions will be addressed during the event.
  3. Answers to questions not addressed during the webinar will be provided on the NCATS RDCRN Applicant Information website. Questions that are applicant specific will not be answered during the webinar.

The webinars will be hosted through Zoom.

You must register for the technical webinar of choice prior to the webinar.

These items and questions and answers related to PAR-24-206 will be made available on the NCATS RDCRN Applicant Information website approximately one week after the event.
