MINORITY INSTITUTIONS (RCMI) FOR DEVELOPING AND IMPROVING INSTITUTIONAL 
ANIMAL RESOURCES

The National Center for Research Resources (NCRR) encourages the 
submission of individual resource improvement competitive supplemental 
grant applications from Research Centers In Minority Institutions 
(RCMI).  The major objective of these supplements is to upgrade 
facilities and major equipment to support biomedical and behavioral 
research at RCMI Institutions.  Support is limited to alterations and 
renovations (A&R) to improve animal facilities, and the purchase of 
major equipment items.  Eligibility is limited to RCMI grantee 
institutions whose Centers include projects currently supported by the 
Public Health Service (PHS) that involve the use of laboratory animals. 
The deadline for receipt of applications is April 18 .
