Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to clarify the description of Graduate/Medical Partner Institutions in Part 2, Section I, Purpose/Research Objective in RFA-RM-13-001.

Part II. Section I. Purpose/Research Objective

The description of Graduate/Medical Partner Institutions Currently states:

Graduate/Medical Partner Institutions -  Medical and graduate institutions that do not have undergraduate programs but do have a pool of doctoral-level students and that receive less than $7.5M in NIH funding (total costs) through Research Project Grants (calculated as described for Primary Institutions in the Eligibility Section below). Primary Institutions and Graduate/Medical Partner Institutions will work collaboratively to provide joint programs for both undergraduate and graduate students.

The description of Graduate/Medical Partner Institutions should state:

Graduate/Medical Partner Institutions -  Medical and graduate institutions that do not have undergraduate programs but do have a pool of doctoral-level students engaged in research or planning a research career, and that receive less than $7.5M in NIH funding (total costs) through Research Project Grants (calculated as described for Primary Institutions in the Eligibility Section below). Primary Institutions and Graduate/Medical Partner Institutions will work collaboratively to provide joint programs for both undergraduate and graduate students.

All other aspects of this FOA remain the same.
