About the online meeting:
NIDA and OBSSR will host a pre-application technical assistance “virtual” meeting on the web on Tuesday November 28, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The purpose of the meeting is to provide technical assistance for the application process and to answer any questions regarding the application process and responsiveness issues.Persons considering submitting applications in response to RFA-RM-07-004 are encouraged to attend the technical assistance meeting.  Those who cannot attend are encouraged to visit the FAQ website following the meeting.

Meeting attendees must pre-register for the event at their earliest opportunity (instructions for pre-registering are provided below). Upon registering, participants will be emailed instructions for logging on to the website where the web-based meeting will be held.  The software application used to display the meeting is “Breeze.” Please review Breeze system requirements (below) before the meeting to avoid last minute technical difficulties.  There is no telephone component to the meeting.  Therefore, participants should have their computer speakers powered on and ensure that their volume is tuned properly so that they can hear the presenters, whose voices will be broadcast via Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP).  In addition, closed-captioning will be provided. Participants will have the opportunity to submit questions to the presenters during the web meeting via the Breeze interface.

Approximately one week after the technical assistance meeting, a set of Answers to Frequently Asked Questions regarding the preparation of applications in response to the RFA will be posted to a public website.
