Purpose
The purpose of the NIOSH Conference and Scientific Meeting Cooperative Agreement Program (U13) is to support high quality and high impact scientific conferences/meetings that are relevant to NIOSH’s mission, program priorities, and public health. This program is integral to accomplishing the overall mission of NIOSH.
This notice provides updated information for applicants interested in applying for NIOSH Conference Cooperative Agreement funding. Applicants must comply with the requirements contained in this notice.
Applicants may request more than $30,000 in total costs per year with prior approval from NIOSH. The maximum amount that can be requested with prior approval is $75,000 in total costs per year.
Prior approval is required for applicants intending to apply for more than $30,000 in total costs per year. Applicants must provide their signed requests on organizational letterhead at least 30 days prior to the expected application due date. All of the following information must be included in the signed prior approval request:

Prior approval to accept an application does not guarantee funding. Funding availability and the number of awards are contingent on NIOSH appropriations and the number of meritorious applications received.
