Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to inform applicants of a correction to the Research & Related (R & R) Budget guidance in Part 2, Section IV.2. of RFA-OD-24-011 "NIH Research Software Engineer (RSE) Award (R50 Clinical Trials Not Allowed)”. Part 2. Section IV.2. R & R Budget has been revised as follows.

R & R Budget

The NOFO currently reads:

The application budget may request only the following two expenses in direct costs per year: 

1. Salary support for the RSE commensurate with their level of funded effort on NIH-funded research grants during Federal Fiscal Year 2023; and
2. Travel costs to attend research meetings/conferences not to exceed $2,500 per year.

The NOFO is modified to read (changes noted in underlined italics):

The application budget may request only the following two expenses in direct costs per year:

1. Salary support for the RSE commensurate with their level of funded effort on NIH-funded research grants during the most recent year; and
2. Travel costs to attend research meetings/conferences not to exceed $2,500 per year.

All other aspects of this NOFO remain unchanged.
