Office of Research on Women's Health (ORWH)
The purpose of this notice is to inform potential applicants that the Office of Research on Women's Health (ORWH) will participate, effective July 31, 2024, in RFA-AT-24-010, "Whole Person Research and Coordination Center (Whole Person RCC) U24 (Clinical Trial Not Allowed)".
The Office of Research on Womens Health (ORWH) is part of the NIH Office of the Director and works in partnership with the 27 NIH Institutes, Centers, and Offices (ICOs) to ensure that women's health research is part of the NIH scientific framework and supported throughout the biomedical enterprise.
ORWH is interested in supporting biomedical research that considers sex and/or gender influences and includes adequate plans for collecting and reporting sex-specific data. Please review the NIH-Wide Strategic Plan for Research on the Health of Women 2024-2028 for additional guidance.
For this NOFO, ORWH supports using both sexes as a research platform that aligns with the NIH Sex As a Biological Variable (SABV) Policy to build a healthy human whole-person physiome conceptual map to represent all physiological organ system functions in healthy persons throughout the lifespan.
