This Notice is to inform the research community that the Office of Disease Prevention and participating NIH Institutes, Centers and Offices intend to reissue the Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) PA-18-932 - Increasing Uptake of Evidence-Based Screening in Diverse Adult Populations (R01 Clinical Trial Optional).
When reissued, the FOA will utilize the Notice of Special Interest (NOSI) mechanism. Modifications to this FOA will include new and revised research priorities. This Notice is being published now to inform prospective applicants in advance of this action. The NOSI is expected to be published in May 2022.
Research Initiative
The purpose of the forthcoming NOSI is to communicate our interest in research that seeks to test multilevel strategies and interventions to improve the uptake of evidence-based screenings across the lifespan in populations including, but not limited to, those experiencing health disparities and underserved populations. Studies addressing efficacy, effectiveness, dissemination and implementation, as well as studies seeking to understand and address barriers to screening are likely to be encouraged.
