Purpose

The purpose of this notice is to clarify eligibility for the recently issued NIH Parent Research Career Development (K) Award Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs). Specifically, this Notice corrects the eligibility of foreign components.

Part 2. Section III. Eligibility Information

1. Eligible Applicants

Currently reads:
Foreign Institutions
Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Institutions) are not eligible to apply.
Non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U.S. Organizations are not eligible to apply.
Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are not allowed.

Modified to read:
Foreign Institutions
Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Institutions) are not eligible to apply.

PA-14-042: NIH Pathway to Independence Award (Parent K99/R00)

All other aspects of these FOAs remain the same.
