The submission deadline for RFA-GM-11-004 has been extended by two days from the original deadline of October 15, 2010. The new submission deadline for RFA-GM-11-004 is Tuesday, October 19, 2010. The deadline change is being made to accommodate applicants that were unable to submit to Grants.gov during a system failure that occurred on October 15, 2010.

Important Note: NIH is evaluating the impact of the Grants.gov system failure on grant programs with submission deadlines of Saturday, October 16, 2010. Keep in mind that when an NIH submission deadline falls on a weekend, it automatically shifts to the next business day (Monday, October 18). The NIH Guide, Electronic Submission Program e-mail lists and Electronic Submission Web site will be the primary vehicles used to communicate any additional deadline extensions.
