Purpose

NIH offers distinct programs for pre-baccalaureate training under the auspices of the Kirschstein-NRSA undergraduate support mechanism (T34). This notice serves as a reminder that the submission of the PHS 416-7 Termination Notice is not required for trainees on T34 Kirschstein-NRSA undergraduate institutional research training grants. T34 trainees are still required to submit Form PHS 2271 Statement of Appointment to appoint individuals as trainees to a T34 institutional Kirschstein-NRSA program. Any changes to appointments should be recorded through an amended PHS 2271.
